The problems we may have during pruducing
2025-03-26 16:32:50

During the production process of plastic injection molding, the following problems may be encountered:

Appearance defect

-Surface shrinkage: It is usually caused by uneven shrinkage of plastic during cooling, which is related to product design, mold structure, and Injection Molding Process.

-Weld line: It is often caused by the merging of two or more streams of plastic melt when it flows in the mold, which affects the appearance and strength of the product.

-Surface scratch: It may be caused by friction between the product surface and molds, equipment, or other objects during demolding or subsequent processing.

Dimensional accuracy issues

-Dimensional deviation: Due to factors such as mold accuracy, fluctuations in injection molding process parameters, and changes in plastic shrinkage rate, product dimensions do not meet design requirements.

-Warping deformation: During the cooling process, the product may warp or deform due to uneven internal stress distribution, which is related to the product structure design, injection molding process, and mold cooling system.

Performance defects

-Insufficient strength: This may be due to improper selection of plastic materials or unreasonable injection molding processes, resulting in internal defects or insufficient crystallinity of the product, affecting its mechanical strength.

-Poor toughness: The toughness of materials is related to factors such as formulation and processing technology. If the processing temperature is too high or too low, it may cause the molecular chains of the material to break or the orientation to be unreasonable, reducing the toughness of the product.

Molding defects

-Insufficient filling of the mold: Due to insufficient injection pressure, poor flowability of the plastic melt, and unreasonable design of the mold pouring system, the plastic was not fully filled into the mold cavity.

-Flying edge burrs: During the injection molding process, plastic overflows at the parting surface or other gaps of the mold, forming thin film like flying edge burrs, which are related to the mold's clamping accuracy, injection pressure, and speed.

Internal defects

-Bubbles: During the injection molding process, plastic forms bubbles inside the product due to air entrainment, moisture evaporation, or plastic degradation, which affects the quality and performance of the product.

-Shrinkage marks: mainly caused by the insufficient plastic replenishment in the thick walled areas during the cooling process of the product, resulting in surface depressions, which are related to the injection molding process and product structural design.
